*Living the Grace Life
Do you ever wish you could take back what you said, but cringe knowing you can’t? Do you ever get stuck, hiding behind a pull-up-your-bootstraps way of living as you struggle to forgive yourself and others? What if it’s possible to live and linger in the grace that’s already yours to receive and give?
We’ve all thought we were steady in our grace walk, only to discover our shoes are torn and ill-fitting. But God is gracious and His movement toward us — His welcome, forgiveness, and empowerment — is our invitation to living the grace life.
Come to the W. E. L. L. of God’s grace with the Samaritan Woman for the drink of surrender that might surprise you.
Joy: In & Out of Season
Does joy come easily to you? Or do you find joy just beyond your reach — something experienced by the seemingly privileged few? Sure, joy comes easily when babes make their grand entrance and toddlers take those anticipated first steps. No one summons joy as graduates cross the stage, beaming with pride for the piece of paper tucked neatly into embossed black folders.
Where is joy, though, when tears are falling — when the hurts outweigh the hopes? When the hard of this life presses in on every side, and takes aim at who God is and Whose you are? Joy’s silence is deafening when its voice has been sidelined for too long.
Journey to joy with several joy-fueled friends from the Scriptures. Their stories, like ours, unfold circumstances well beyond their control. At other times, their chosen chapters are contrary to God’s design. In every season, the God of their stories and ours says: I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:11, NLT
Rhythms of Rest: Nurturing Life
Let rest surprise you. We often hesitate, worrying over the productivity it might cost us to still ourselves and offer more than touching our toes to the water’s edges. But our souls are desperately thirsty. We’re weary from overproduction, confused by too many options, and drowning in our own sea of me.
Nurture rhythms of R. E. S. T. through a contemplative reading of Ezekiel 47. Nurture life as you listen, lean in, and consider where God desires to bring dead things to life.
Other topics include Finding Your Tribe: Courageous, Committed, Connected (through the Book of Ruth), Still Broken but Beautiful, What’s Love Got to Do With It?
Any topic may be adjusted for a single talk or workshop as well as a series of talks or used in a retreat setting.
