When have you felt the most welcome? Not just included or invited, but truly welcomed—that deep-in-your-bones feeling that says, I belong here. Grace and belonging begin with this beautiful truth: you don’t have to earn your place with God or prove you deserve His love.

God’s grace welcomes you as the person He created you to be.

Welcome to Season 3 of Living the Grace Life!

After two years of exploring what it means to live with God’s grace in the middle of real life, Jennifer Sakata returns to the heart of the message: grace was never meant to stay a theological idea.

God’s grace is meant to do something.

It changes us.
It impacts us.
It transforms us in ways we could never manufacture on our own.

Season 3 begins at the starting point of that transformation: the welcome of God.

What Do Grace and Belonging Have to Do with Each Other?

Before grace changes what we do, it changes how we understand who we are.

The God who created us in His image isn’t waiting for us to become worthy enough to approach Him. His grace meets us with an invitation to belong—to receive His welcome and live from the security of knowing we are His.

But receiving that welcome can be surprisingly difficult.

We live in a world that often teaches us to earn our place, prove our value, perform for acceptance, and work for belonging. Those messages can easily seep into our faith, too.

We strive to be good enough for God, compare our spiritual lives to someone else’s, or quietly wonder whether we really belong.

What if the grace life begins somewhere different? What if it begins by receiving the welcome of God?

Grace and Belonging Aren’t Just Ideas to Believe

Grace can become familiar Christian language. We talk about God’s grace, sing about grace, and believe that we’re saved by grace.

But what happens when grace moves from something we understand theologically to something we actually receive and live from?

In this Season 3 opener, Jennifer introduces the season’s theme, Grace as the Welcome of God, and invites us to consider what happens when God’s welcome becomes more than something we believe.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • Why God’s grace is more than a theological idea
  • How grace and belonging are connected
  • Why receiving God’s welcome can sometimes be harder than striving for it
  • What God’s welcome tells us about our identity
  • How grace transforms us when we learn to live from belonging rather than striving
  • Why the welcome of God is the starting point for living the grace life

Season 3 of Living the Grace Life is an invitation to discover grace not simply as something God gives us, but as the welcome that draws us into deeper belonging with Him.

Because grace isn’t just something to understand.

It’s something to receive—and something that transforms the way we live.

A Question to Consider

Where are you striving to earn a sense of belonging that God is inviting you to receive?

Take a moment to notice where that striving shows up—in your relationship with God, your relationships with others, your work, or even the way you speak to yourself.

Then consider this:

What might change if you received God’s welcome today?

Key Scripture

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them.” — Genesis 1:27

💬  Grace and Belonging Quotes:

“God was never meant to be just a theological idea. Grace is always meant to change us, impact us, and transform us. It all begins with the welcome of God.”

“The welcome of God is never forced or manipulated. And it’s not put on one moment and removed for less-than-stellar behavior the next.”

“God’s welcome reminds us that we belong—no matter what.”
